SNSF Funding Request FAQ

I have submitted my request, but I have not received a response. What should I do?

Funding requests are a two step process. Please check your email to see if you received a notification from ChronosHub asking you to complete the funding request.

I can't find my grant - what should I do?

It could be registered under a different or previous email address. Please try an alternative email address.

Are you definitely a grantee or is another author the grantee? You can check your status on the grant here: https://data.snf.ch/

You can still register a funding request on behalf of a grantee, you just need to know the grant ID and their email address.

If you still cannot find it, please contact: [email protected]

Can I still submit a funding request if I am an administrator submitting on behalf of my department or if I am not a grantee?

Yes. Please enter the grantee's email address and then indicate that you are not the grantee. The widget will then ask for your contact details.

What file types can I upload?

Invoices should be PDF. Manuscripts should be .docx files.

What address should I put on the invoice?

ChronosHub can pay invoices to publishers with your university address or the SNSF address. If there is any issue we will contact you.

I have an order confirmation for an invoice from the publisher, can I use this to submit a funding request?

No. Please wait for the invoice to arrive. This is usually within 72 hours.

What should the funding acknowledgement include?

The funding acknowledgement should mention SNSF and the grant ID.

I don't have the invoice yet but, I want to know if the article will be funded - can I check this via the inflow?

Yes, you can! You can go through all of the steps to check the funding eligibility of your article. Just don't press submit.

Can I apply for funding after my grant has finished?
Yes.

What should I do if my journal is not listed?
